Meet the 2010 Summer Company Students

 


Last summer, six students from the Collingwood/South Georgian Bay Region took part in the 2010 Summer Company program. Managed by the Small Business Enterprise Centre and funded by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Summer Company Program helps students set up and operate their own business. Each eligible student receives $1,500 in start-up funding, and an additional $1,500 upon successful program completion.

Christopher Nuttley operated Nuttley's Outdoor Labour and Painting. Chris provided odd job and painting services to Creemore area residents. Evan Brown was the owner/operator of EZ Lawn Care. Evan had a busy summer offering full lawn care and yard services to Collingwood area residents. Shannon Gerow, owner of Put Your Best Paw Forward Dog Walkers, spent her summer walking and caring for Stayner area pets. Curtis Lush of Clarksburg created a company called Juggles. He entertained at various special events around the Georgian Triangle. Amanada Winters from Singhampton created a company she called Beaver River Stone Landscaping. Amanda was busy providing landscaping and yard maintenance services to residents throughout the Georgian Triangle and surrounding communities.

Tim Talbot started a company called Talbot Lawn Care as a Summer Company Student. He provided a lawn cutting and property management service to the residents of Creemore and surrounding area.
